Bio

The 30-year-old forward, who has 82 goals and over 350 career appearances to his name, joined on loan until the end of the season from divisional rivals Luton Town in February 2025.

Starting out with the Hatters, where he made several first team appearances in the FA Trophy and became the first non-league player to be capped by England at youth level since the 1970s, his footballing journey would soon take off.

A permanent switch to Premier League side Fulham followed, with Woodrow spending the next eight seasons at Craven Cottage, where he scored 12 goals in 66 games and earned further England honours at Under-20 and Under-21 levels.

The towering targetman also enjoyed loan spells with Southend United, Burton Albion, Bristol City and Barnsley, who he helped fire to automatic promotion in the 2018-19 League One season, scoring 16 league goals in 29 starts.

His impressive scoring season earned Woodrow a permanent move to Oakwell, where he netted 15 goals in each of the next two seasons, helping the Tykes reach the Championships play-offs in 2020-21.

The experienced striker returned to Luton in June 2022 and played an important role in the Hatters’ promotion to the Premier League, making 27 league appearances and scoring in crucial victories over Norwich City and Rotherham United.

He made 24 Premier League appearances last season, scoring a last-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

Having started just one Championship game for Luton this season, he was added to Rovers’ attacking ranks, becoming our fifth signing of the January transfer window.
