Bio
A towering centre-back, Hill made the loan switch from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth in August 2023.
The defender started his career in Lancashire with Fleetwood Town, making his debut in a Carabao Cup second round tie against Leicester City in August 2018, aged just 16, becoming Fleetwood’s youngest ever player.
He made his league debut in a 1-1 draw against Peterborough United later that season, before his first start arrived just a few days later in the Fylde Coast derby away to Blackpool.
Hill’s breakthrough campaign came in the 2020-21 League One season, making 35 appearances in all competitions.
September 2021 would prove to be a memorable month for Hill, who made his international debut in England Under-20s’ 6-1 victory over Romania, before scoring his first senior goal in Fleetwood’s 2-2 draw away to Cambridge United.
In January 2022, Bournemouth beat off a host of clubs to secure the signature of the highly-coveted defender, who signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at the Vitality Stadium, and he made his Cherries debut in a 1-0 Championship victory over Barnsley later that month.
Following Bournemouth’s promotion to the Premier League, Hill joined Scottish Premiership side Hearts on loan for the second half of last season, making 17 appearances and helping them secure a fourth-place finish.
The 21-year-old made his Premier League bow in Bournemouth’s opening day draw against West Ham United before agreeing to spend the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign here at Ewood Park.
